Cascade Clamp - Founded in Portland, Oregon in the year 1943, the Cascade Manufacturing Company began as a small machine store hiring only four individuals. Total sales for that particular year amounted to about sixty thousand dollars. The first recorded sales revenues involved the assembly and machining of stainless steel valves, pipe fittings and various components. During 5 years of operation, the company had stretched to forty staff and their annual sales volume had risen to $330,000. At present, Cascade is one of the leading international makers in the material handling industry.
Manufacture and design of the company's first hydraulic cylinder paved the way in Cascade's aggressive pursuit of better business possibilities. During the past sixty years, the material handling business has matured into a highly sophisticated area and Cascade has proudly played a part on this improvement. Cascade presently continues to develop as the leader provider of forklift attachments and numerous associated items. The company feels confident in their capability so as to continue to lead the way in the business by understanding buyer's needs in the future and remaining competitive within the global market.
In the 1950's, Cascade began designing, manufacturing and promoting hydraulic attachments. Manufacturing was done in the year 1956 on a brand new facility so as to accommodate all office and plant operations in Portland, Oregon at the company's current center of operations. After fifteen years of business, total staff reached 180 staff and sales had reached practically 2.3 million dollars.
A second manufacturing plant was built in 1959 in Springfield, Pasadena. nineteen sixty marked Cascade's preliminary move into the global world of the material handling industry as the company established interest in the Netherlands, England, and Australia.
In 1964, the company changed its name to the Cascade Corporation. Afterward in the year 1965, the business went public with an initial offering of 200,000 shares of common stock. Ever since then the company has expanded its manufacturing amenities within the continental USA to the locations Warner Robins Georgia to go along with its already present plants in Springfield, Pasadena and Portland, Oregon.
